- Identification of the defamatory content (link to the review).
- A clear statement explaining why the content is defamatory.
- Any supporting evidence that substantiates your claim.
2. Review Process
Upon receiving a valid defamation takedown request:
- Assessment: Our team will review the provided information to determine if the content violates our Content Policy.
- Action: If the content is found to be defamatory, it will be promptly removed from the platform.
- Notification: The user who submitted the review will be notified about the removal and the reasons behind it.
3. Counter-Notice
If you believe a review was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice:
- Send an Email: Email us at [Your Contact Email] with the subject line “Defamation Counter-Notice.”
- Include Necessary Information: Provide the following details in your counter-notice:
- Your contact information (name, address, email).
- Identification of the removed content.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content was removed in error.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and acknowledgment that you will accept service of process from the complaining party.
4. Reinstatement of Content
If a valid counter-notice is received, Verified Care will:
- Reinstate the Content: Restore the removed review to the platform.
- Notify the Complainant: Inform the original complainant about the counter-notice.
